New Year’s Eve

Yep that’s right it is New Year’s Eve and the time is 7:18pm. You are probably wondering why I am not currently downing shots with my friends and dancing on tables. Well that will be coming later. I have to wait for Melissa to finish work at 10 before we can start the drinking shenanigans. So instead I am at this moment sat in my dressing gown and feeling reflective. As is I am sure a lot of people are tonight.

So what have I come up with from this year. Well I think I have been very fortunate when it comes to events. I have been on a lot of holidays (however my credit card is feeling the pain). I have moved into my own place with my best friend and we have had many nights of laughter and silliness.

I have had my family around me to support me when I have been down and pat me on the back when things have gone well.

However I have also had some not very nice moments. I have had the dramas with Mr FWB, starting with ending things on my birthday, followed by telling me I was mistake and ending it with sleeping with one of my work colleagues and flaunting it in front of my face. God he is an arse.

I have also had some issues with friends. Realising that some people are not exactly who they try to make out they are.

I have had emotional breakdowns like when the time my bed broke and funnily enough again today when it broke again!

I do however though I think this year has been a pretty good one. There is nothing I really regret and I think on a whole it has made me a better person. I have had to deal with challenges and overcome sadness but I did it with a smile on my face – or eventually the smile was there.

So what does 2013 hold for me? It is hard to say as right at this moment I do not have any plans. I am hoping to go snowboarding with my Mum in February and I want to tackle some bucket list things like learn to play the guitar and learn another language but as it stands right now there is nothing. Pretty free which is a good feeling. I am not going to make resolutions like stop seeing Mr FWB as I think I would fail on that one however I am going to focus on myself more and if that means I have less time for him then so be it.

I also plan to lose 10lbs in 3 months, I have signed up for the gym for that amount of time so hopefully I will achieve my goal. Other than that I don’t plan to make any.

All I really want is to grow as a person and learn as much as I can.

I hope you all have a great New Year and thank you for reading about 2012. I hope you stick around for 2013 as I feel there are going to be a lot of stories to tell and dramas to report on.

There always is in a Single Girls life J

Where to start?

Well as I posted yesterday I have been very busy recently. Firstly I will start with telling you about my holiday.

It was brilliant!

My family and I had a great time seeing different bits of America and it actually made me feel a little bit like I was travelling again. We stayed in some lovely places and I even got to go horse riding. Not doing that again! There wasn’t really any dramas except I suppose when we got a flat tyre whilst in the middle of nowhere and had to race against time before the air completely ran out. My Dad also proceeded to lose his glasses out the window whilst trying to check the tyre and an emergency stop and race back had to be arranged so we could collect them again.

Las Vegas was a lot of fun however I didn’t win the millions I was hoping for. My friend who I shared a room with was a complete gentleman and there was no awkwardness at all which was good. My parents 40th wedding ceremony went without any issues and the whole event was brilliant. I do not think I have laughed like that for a long time.

I got home about a week ago and the following night I went out for Melissa’s birthday celebrations. I think everyone enjoyed themselves or at least they seemed to. Melissa was so close to having sex with Smallsie however after a lot of trying the boy failed to “perform” and they gave up. Poor guy! I think this has left her even more frustrated and I am seriously starting to think about hiring someone to do the job. At least if they can’t perform I will get my money back J

Obviously this week was Christmas and it was really nice to spend it with the family. Last year I was away travelling and I think it made me realise what I missed. We spent it at my sisters eating food and opening pressies. What more can you ask for!

Now I am back at work, boo! Tonight I am off out with Melissa and a couple of other people. As we are not too sure what we are going to do for New Year we thought we would have a mini celebration tonight.

I suppose you are all wondering how much contact I have been having with Mr FWB. Well it has been quite a lot actually. We spoke whilst I was away and we have seen each other a couple of times since I have been back. Nothing overly exciting to report though. I suppose I am just waiting for him to mess up again.

Anyway I am going to finish up there. My fingers are starting to ache from the lack of typing I have been doing recently

Hope everyone is well and have a great weekend!

What a crazy few weeks!

Sorry I have not been around much this last couple of weeks but with holidays and Christmas it has all gotten a little crazy and busy!

This is just a quick post to let you know, I am still around, I am still blogging and I promise to give you a good update tomorrow.

I am working over the Xmas period but it is quite quiet so I am sure I will have plenty of time tomorrow to write a lot. I do warn you that it will be a really long post. 3/4 weeks of no communication will do that to you J

I hope you all have a great Christmas and like me ate way too much!

Speak again tomorrow

I go on holiday soon!

Ok so I may be slightly excited about my up and coming holibob J

As I am sure you are all aware, Monday I am off to LA and then to Vegas and I cannot wait.

I really cannot remember how much I have told you about this but the whole reason we are going is because it is my parents 40th wedding anniversary and they are renewing their wedding vows. Amazing that they have made it to 40 years and I could only just manage 2. Goes to show how times have changed.

I am a little sad for Melissa. She had finally met a guy she had quite liked but he turned out to be just a plain old idiot. It is a shame really as her intentions were only to sleep with him and what young guy doesn’t want that. Oh well on to the next one. I am determined to find her someone before her birthday or failing that on her birthday!

I was hoping to have some saucy stories to tell you but I have been so busy I haven’t had the chance to booty call Mr FWB. We have however had some very interesting text message sharing sessions, if you know what I mean (insert winky smile) J

I am however out tomorrow night for my teams Christmas night out and when the drinks are flowing and the Christmas spirit is around who knows what can happen. I am not just talking about with Mr FWB either!

I promise to update you this weekend on the nights events and I really do hope there is a story or two to tell!

I love weekends away!

Sorry once again guys for my lack of blog update. It has been crazy here with Christmas pressie buying and packing for trips. None of which have been bad things J

Last week pretty much went by in a blur. I went to the cinema with Mr FWB on Wednesday which was fine. Film was good and it was just a comfortable easy night.

Thursday I went out for a work Christmas dinner. It was nice because it was free J. I managed to resist the temptation of heading into town for drinks with everyone else and actually went home to get a fairly early night ready for the excitement of Friday

Rome

So for anyone who hasn’t been to Rome it is a lovely place. There is so much to see and do and with only a couple of days there we seriously went at it with all we had. We saw the Coliseum, the Vatican, the Spanish Steps and The Trevi fountain. We saw other bits and bobs on route as well but these were the main ones we wanted to see.

It is a strange place as they have these wonderful sights but they are sat on a roundabout or at the end of a shopping street. It didn’t take away from how great they were but it is a shame they haven’t preserved the areas a little more and refrained from building around them.

I had a great time with my Sister and we pretty much spent the whole weekend laughing and drinking wine. What more could you ask for!

Yesterday I got home and started preparing the house for the Christmas decorations. Tomorrow night Melissa and myself are going to put up the tree together. Then the place will really feel Christmassy J

I have quite a lot planned this week but so I actually blog more than once a week I will provide another update on Wednesday! I may even have a saucy story or two to tell!
